Save The Children Lunches Team

Save the Children organisation periodically acknowledges funds raised by the team

By the end of 2017 very nearly £50,000 had been raised from 30 years of lunches

Shipham Community Film Club

Highly Commended award in 2017 from “Cinema for All” in the national competition

Active Living Group

In 2014 the group received an award from “Cosy Feet” organisation for the best Active Living Group in Somerset with a prize of £500 towards their funding needs.


Active Living Group

Gloria Tyson and Ray Burgess received awards for the longest serving volunteers in the Somerset Active Living under the umbrella of” Somerset U Can Do”.

Hall Management Committee

David Worker received the Somerset County Council’s Voluntary Service Award in 2016 for his voluntary activities principally for his efforts to establish a new hall for Shipham and as its chairman since 2005.

Tony Davies received the Sedgemoor District Council’s Community Hero award in 2017 as a mainstay of village halls in Shipham for more than 40 years as an officer of the trust


Hall Mark Award Scheme

Shipham Village Hall has been awarded the top 3 Star award under the national Assessment scheme known as “Hall Mark” since the scheme started in 2009, 4 years after the hall opened.

The 3 star award has been granted at each triennial assessment since.
