Room and Equipment Hire

Users may book the Main Hall, the Meeting Room, and the Club Room separately or in combination.

Use of the kitchen or kitchenette and special equipment are booked as extra facilities.

The Village Hall is licensed under the premises Act 2003

Music Licenses

The hall pays an annual joint licence for the use of music at the hall to the Performing Rights Society and PPL.

As a result live music or recorded music may be played at our hall.

The Hire Contract

All hire contracts are between the Hall Trust (charity no.270556) and the Hirer, who is either the organisation or person named as responsible on the enquiry form and on any booking confirmation.

No hire can be treated as finally confirmed until the deposit or full payment requested has been received in the bank account of the hall at Lloyds Bank plc, or in cash if this specific method has been approved given exceptional circumstances.

Payment of booking deposits or invoices made by direct bank transfer must include the invoice or booking reference numbers at the start of the reference section in the bank transfer details.

Our bank account statements are checked regularly by the bookings clerk and will tell us who the payment is from and quote the invoice reference number you provide.

Any Special Deposit will be refunded within 28 days from the end of hire provided that, as a result of the hire no damage or loss was caused to premises or contents, no other damage was suffered, the premises were left clean, all rubbish was removed, and all keys were returned.

Terms and Conditions of Hire

All Hires are subject to the Terms & Conditions of Hire pages 1 to 3.

Additional Special Conditions that comply with the Premises Licensing Act 2003 set out in page 4 apply if any of the following are true.

  • Where the general public is present, whether admittance is by presold ticket, tickets at the door, or the event is open to all.

  • When alcohol is to be supplied to anyone.
