Personal belongings that are found at the village hall are usually placed in in the lost property box which is located in the cloakroom cupboard in the lobby area. If you have lost something , please check there. If the item is not in the lost property, possibility because it is valuable, then it may be that the organiser of group/class that you attended has taken your lost property for safekeeping.

The building is fully accessible with no steps except to the stage area. There is also a disabled toilet.

We have approximately 200 chairs and 40 tables available for use by hirers. There are at least 32 large banqueting tables (1830mm x 685mm, 760mm high), and 8 smaller tables (915mm x 685mm, 698mm high).
The village hall is licensed for the sale of alcohol on the premises, but we do not provide an onsite bar service. If you wish to sell or serve alcohol to guests you will need to personally arrange this for your booking. You will find there are several local mobile bar companies which provide such a service.
No, you will need to provide all consumable food and drink items that you need for your booking. Please note that some regular groups keep supplies at the hall, and these are not to be used by other hirers.
Apart from offering discounted hire charges to residents of Shipham, Rowberrow and Star along with village-based organisations, we do not offer discounts for any other reason unless otherwise decided by the management committee.

No animals are allowed on the premises, with the exception of guide dogs.

We are able to accommodate small bouncy castles in the Main Hall. The maximum height for these is 3.8m, and you will often find that the local bouncy castle hire companies are well acquainted with our venue.
Our premises license is only applicable between the hours of 7am and 11pm on Sun-Thurs, and 7am to 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. We can therefore not accommodate overnight bookings in our village hall.
Use of sellotape or bluetack on the walls is not permitted. There are picture hooks on the walls from which bunting or lights can be hung. Please do not hang anything from the ceiling without permission. Indoor scaffolding may be used with drapes to create a 'marquee' effect, with adequate bases for the vertical poles to sit on, to prevent damage to the floor surface. We also have display boards available (usually stored in the Star Room) that can be used for photos etc
